Pastry Cook 1

As a Pastry Cook 1, you will take a leading role in the preparation and presentation of plated desserts, pastries, and baked goods for our restaurant outlets. You will combine technical skill with creative artistry to deliver exceptional quality that enhances every guest’s dining experience. Working closely with the Pastry leadership team, you will help maintain our reputation for excellence, consistency, and innovation in every dessert served. What you will be doing:

  • Lead the daily production of desserts and pastry items for the hotel’s restaurant outlets, ensuring all products meet Fairmont’s high standards of quality, taste, and presentation.
  • Prepare a variety of desserts, including plated items, pastries, cakes, tarts, and frozen components, while maintaining portion and recipe consistency.
  • Assist in developing new dessert concepts, seasonal offerings, and menu enhancements in collaboration with the Pastry Chef.
  • Maintain excellent product rotation, labeling, and storage practices to ensure freshness and minimize waste.
