Assistant Housekeeping Manager

The Munich Marriott City West sets new benchmarks and standards in meetings & events. Who we are looking for…

We want our guests to feel completely at home with us – and to achieve this, every little detail counts. From the first moment they enter their room, they should feel that they can look forward to a carefree stay. To pure relaxation in the clean, freshly made beds that await them every evening. As a shining example for the housekeeping team, you are coach, encourager and comrade-in-arms at eye level. Your high standards are the yardstick by which everyone is measured.

 

What your responsibilities are…

  • You will coordinate all housekeeping tasks and plan who cleans which rooms in cooperation with the Executive Housekeeper.
  •  You check the VIP rooms and public areas after cleaning and you make sure that everything meets our high standards
  •  You take care of guests’ requests or requests from the reception desk
  •  You create reports on arrivals and departures
  •  You are always thinking of new ways to inspire our guests
  •  You are responsible for the final inspection and approval of the cleaned rooms,
  •  You process invoices and delivery bills for your department and work closely with the accounting department.
  •  You have your figures under control – whether contractor costs, cleaning agent costs or personnel costs – you always keep an overview here
  •  You are the contact person for external and contract companies, negotiate conditions if necessary and ensure that brand standards are adhered to.
  •  You are responsible for the inventory and control of the cleaning agents as well as their correct stock-keeping.
  •  You facilitate clear and professional communication within your teams and with other departments such as engineering, front office, etc….
  •  You are responsible for the further development of your team and the trainees and enjoy passing on your extensive knowledge
  • You provide new team members with a professional induction and a motivating working atmosphere
  • You are a real team player with all hotel departments and the leadership team

 

That’s what we want from you….

  • You already have at least 2 years of experience as a housekeeping shift manager in an upscale hotel or have completed an apprenticeship in the hotel industry
