The Engineering Technician cooperates with his / her superior to ensure the normal operation of hotel equipment. This role is responsible for the general work order maintenance work assigned by his / her superior or assisting the Engineering department’s maintenance team in completing other maintenance work.
What will I be doing?
As the Engineering Technician, you will be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:
• Ensure that all maintenance work is performed safely, and in accordance with statutory and company regulations and good engineering practice.
• Inspecting, maintaining, troubleshooting and repairing a large inventory of electric and gas commercial kitchen equipment and appliances such as stoves, ovens, refrigerators and dishwashers.
• Responds to and addresses any kitchen equipment concerns that arise related to hotel operations, including troubleshooting and resolving issues in a timely manner.
• Coordinates, supervises and double checks the works of specialist vendors during preventive maintenance visits.
• To liaise with the Repair and Maintenance Engineer regarding maintenance/ repairs and planning ahead so as to maximize operational uptime.
