The iconic Washington Hilton is looking for their next full-time Cook II to join their culinary team! Find this historic 1,107-room hotel within blocks of Dupont Circle and Adams Morgan. The White House and National Mall are less than two miles away. We feature a seasonal outdoor pool deck complete with fire pits and a kid’s pool!

The ideal candidate for this position will possess at least 2 years of experience on a hot line in a high-volume kitchen, either in a hotel or standalone restaurant. It would be considered an asset for this position to have previous training/certifications related to food safety!

Shift Pattern: candidates should be available to work both AM and PM shifts without restrictions, weekend/holiday availability required

Pay Range: $22.67 – 30.23 per hour

What will I be doing?

As a Cook II, you would be responsible for preparing hot food items in the hotel’s continuing effort to deliver outstanding guest service and financial profitability. Specifically, you would be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:

  • Prepare, maintain and monitor quality control for hot food items including, but not limited to, meat, fish, fowl, sauces, stocks and seasonings
  • Maintain cleanliness and comply with food sanitation standards at all times
  • Manage guest orders in a friendly, timely and efficient manner
  • Ensure knowledge of menu and food products
  • Stock and maintain designated food stations(s)
  • Visually inspect all food sent from the kitchen
  • Practice correct food handling and food storage procedures according to federal, state, local and company regulations
