The iconic Hotel del Coronado is looking for a Recreation Attendant (seasonal) to join the team! Join one of the last surviving wooden Victorian beach resorts in the world and after a $400M renovation and expansion, the resort is more stunning than ever.

Located on Coronado Island just minutes from Downtown San Diego, this 28-acre property was built in 1888 and has over 750 rooms (to include cottages and villas), 65,000 square feet of banquet space, and 10 food and beverage outlets. This includes 4 restaurants, 2 bars, food truck, marketplace, ice cream shop, and in-room dining.

Classification: Seasonal. The season begins May 2026 and ends no later than Sept 8, 2026

Shift: Various – Must be available weekends and holidays with an open schedule

Pay Rate: The pay rate for this role is $18.50 and is based on applicable and specialized experience and location.

What will I be doing?

As a Recreation Attendant, you would be responsible for ensuring a clean, safe and fun environment for guests at the pool, fitness center, Roast, and other recreational locations in the hotel’s continuing effort to deliver outstanding guest service. Specifically, you would be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:

• Check out and distribute towels and wristbands
• Rent out beach equipment as well as set-up, breakdown and clean-up of cabanas, chairs, umbrellas and towels.
• Answer phones, make and take reservations; Stock retail, towels, wristbands and Paperwork; Sell retail.
• Use of cash register, computer and filling out paperwork accurately; In depth knowledge of Recreation Department – programs, activities, events, etc.
• Deliver high level, quality customer service.
• Monitor use of pool areas to ensure exclusive access for hotel guests and members Only; basic maintenance / clean-up of all Recreation areas, including pools, beach, locker rooms and restrooms.
• Assist with set-up, facilitation and breakdown of Group Recreation events; assist with our kid’s camp programs if necessary
