Job Description

 

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Commis I specializing in Continental Cuisine to join our culinary team in Mysuru, India. As an entry-level culinary professional, you will have the opportunity to learn and grow while contributing to the preparation of exquisite Continental dishes in our kitchen.

  • Assist in the preparation of ingredients for Continental cuisine dishes
  • Follow recipes and cooking techniques as directed by senior chefs
  • Maintain a clean and organized workstation
  • Operate and maintain kitchen equipment safely and efficiently
  • Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely food preparation and service
  • Adhere to food safety and sanitation standards
  • Assist in inventory management and stock rotation
  • Participate in menu development and food presentation discussions
  • Learn and implement new culinary techniques and recipes
  • Support senior chefs in daily kitchen operations

 

Qualifications

 

  • Culinary diploma or equivalent education in the culinary arts
  • Food safety certification
  • Basic knowledge of Continental cuisine and cooking techniques
  • Proficiency in knife skills and food preparation techniques
  • Familiarity with kitchen equipment operation and maintenance
  • Strong understanding of food safety and sanitation practices
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
  • Team-oriented mindset with strong communication skills
  • Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift heavy objects
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to new culinary techniques
  • Internship or apprenticeship experience in a professional kitchen preferred
