Job Description

 

  • To prepare all breakfast bakeries/pastries fresh daily for Banquets, ARC Restaurant and In-Room Dining
  • Order and organize breads, rolls, and related baking items for Banquets, ARC Restaurant and In-Room Dining
  • Assist in the Banquet Kitchen as and when needed
  • Ensuring high quality and consistency of food preparation and presentation as per Fairmont brand standards
  • Responding positively and in a timely manner to all internal and external guest requests
  • Responsible for a clean workstation and the minimization of wastage
  • Completion of all tasks as assigned
  • To be Health & Safety conscious and actively involved in maintaining a safe work environment

 

Qualifications

 

  • Minimum 2 years of experience as a baker/pastry cook
  • BC Food Safe Certification required
  • Red Seal Certification preferred
  • Flexibility with shifts and ability to work the overnight shift
  • Proven ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • High standards of cleanliness required
  • Reliable, accountable, organized
  • Ability to exceed guests’ expectations
