Job Description

 

At Sofitel Philadelphia at Rittenhouse Square, elegance meets excellence!

We are seeking a Line Cook/Culinary Expert, to create a memorable and tasty dining masterpiece for every guest and patron that you cook for!
You will accurately and efficiently prepare, portion and plate all food products including preparing appropriate garnishes for menu items.  

Line Cook – Flexible AM / PM Cook

What you will be doing:

  • Showcasing your unique culinary skills and creativity in any food you cook to create a memorable dining experience with your food!
  • Collaborate with your team members in the kitchen, managers and restaurant staff and provide support and updates throughout service.
  • Work in a team and sometimes autonomously and be responsible for the management of your work station.
  • Prepare and cook menu items including dressings, sauces, appetizers, sides, as well as entree’s.
  • Prep, wash, and chop meal components for larger dishes and plate meals according to Sofitel standards.
  • Restock kitchen items, clean prep station and put away equipment as required per kitchen standard
  • Read and understand menu and techniques required to execute the dishes properly.
  • Understands and has experience using different kinds of proteins, fruits, vegetables, grains, dry goods, spices, vinegars, etc.
