This position is based at Accor’s flagship Canberra property — Novotel Canberra, a 286‑room hotel in the heart of the city, directly opposite the light rail. Job Description

 

We are currently seeking motivated and reliable Public Area Cleaners to join our team on both full-time and part-time bases.

In this role, you will play an essential part in ensuring our guests experience a clean, welcoming and well-maintained environment throughout the hotel’s public spaces.

You will be responsible for:

  • Cleaning and maintaining all public areas, including the lobby, restaurant, bathrooms, corridors, lifts, staff spaces and conference rooms
  • Ensuring cleanliness standards are consistently met and exceeded
  • Performing routine checks and responding to cleaning requests promptly
  • Maintaining stock levels of cleaning supplies and amenities in public areas
  • Identifying and reporting maintenance issues, safety hazards, or damages
  • Adhering to all health, safety and hygiene standards
  • Delivering friendly and professional service when interacting with guests

This role is ideal for someone who takes pride in presentation, enjoys working behind the scenes, and wants to contribute to creating a positive guest experience.
