Peppina – Bar Attendant

Peppina is Hobart’s signature restaurant, celebrating the heritage of Culinary Director Massimo Mele. Named after his Nonna, Peppina delivers modern Italian cuisine with a distinctly Tasmanian twist. The Opportunity

We are seeking vibrant and committed hospitality professionals to join our Signature Restaurant team at Peppina. As a Bar Attendant, you will play a key role in delivering exceptional guest experiences through engaging service, beverage expertise, and genuine hospitality.

Working within the restaurant bar, you will be responsible for preparing and serving beverages, engaging with guests, and supporting the delivery of a seamless dining experience. You will bring our beverage offering to life through product knowledge and thoughtful recommendations while maintaining the high standards of service and presentation synonymous with Peppina and The Tasman.

You will also support the opening and closing of the bar, maintain stock and presentation standards, and contribute to the smooth operation of service throughout each shift.

Key Accountabilities

  • Deliver seamless food and beverage service, ensuring timely and elegant delivery of dishes from kitchen to table
  • Take accurate orders and provide knowledgeable menu guidance to enhance the guest experience
  • Host and engage with guests, creating a warm, welcoming, and personalised dining atmosphere
  • Bring the menu to life through storytelling of dishes, ingredients, and culinary inspiration
  • Support restaurant opening and closing procedures, ensuring operational readiness and closure standards are met
  • Manage accurate billing and payment processing to conclude service efficiently
  • Maintain strong communication with kitchen and service teams to ensure smooth service flow
  • Uphold exceptional presentation, cleanliness, and service standards at all times
