ABOUT THE ROLE

At W Edinburgh, we believe exceptional hospitality starts with our people. As our Employee Dining Chef, you will create fresh, exciting and nourishing food experiences for our talent, delivering a daily dining experience that energises and supports our teams.

This is more than a traditional staff dining role. You will own the day-to-day operation of Talent Dining, bringing creativity, consistency and personality into every service while maintaining the standards expected within a luxury lifestyle hotel.

Working Monday to Friday, this role offers a fantastic opportunity to enjoy a more structured schedule while remaining connected to a fast-paced culinary environment. At W, we do things differently. As Employee Dining Chef, key aspects of your role will include (but are not limited to):

  • Prepare and deliver daily meals for hotel talent to a consistently high standard
  • Create rotating weekly menus with a focus on freshness, seasonality and variety
  • Deliver balanced options that cater to different dietary requirements and preferences
  • Manage ordering, stock rotation and minimise food waste
  • Maintain excellent food hygiene, HACCP and allergen controls
  • Keep the Talent Dining area clean, welcoming and engaging
  • Support internal activations, celebrations and themed dining events
  • Collaborate with the wider culinary team to maximise produce utilisation

Our ideal Employee Dining Chef is someone who has

  • Previous kitchen experience in hotels, restaurants, contract catering or staff dining
  • Passion for delivering quality food and creating positive experiences
  • Ability to work independently and manage a daily food operation
  • Good organisational skills and attention to detail
  • Strong understanding of food safety and kitchen standards
  • Positive attitude and team-first mindset
