About the Application Process: 

At Fairmont, we want to bring out your highest potential. This is a mandatory step for your candidacy to be considered as it enables us to explore your compatibility with this role and our culture of luxury excellence. 

As a Host at REIGN, you will be the first point of contact for our guests, embodying the high service standards of the Fairmont Royal York. Your role is crucial in creating a welcoming atmosphere and ensuring a seamless dining experience. Key responsibilities include:

• To report to duty punctually, in order to maintain the integrity of co-workers and guests
• To consistently offer personal and friendly service
• To have full knowledge of the menu, beverage lists in your outlet and all other special promotions taking place in the hotel
• To ensure that the host stand is kept neat and clean at all times
• To have a complete understanding of your daily duties (seating and greeting guests, accurately taking reservations, handling phones, menu changeovers, newspaper pickup, checking mail, filing log book entries etc.)
• To efficiently track all covers in the dining room per station and have general knowledge of the union agreement
• To help guests meet their colleagues by properly using the waiting list form
