Job mission
To provide an exceptional experience to each guest by preparing and serving high-quality drinks and cocktails, following the standards of Casa Lucía Member of Meliá Collection and ensuring an efficient, organized and excellence-oriented bar operation.
What will you have to do?
- Prepare and serve drinks, classic and signature cocktails following the hotel’s recipes, quality standards and presentation.
- Manage the daily operation of the bar, ensuring order, cleanliness and compliance with established procedures.
- Maintain the supply of products, glassware, utensils and equipment, by performing inventory checks and reporting replenishment needs.
- Properly execute the bar opening and closing procedures, ensuring compliance with hygiene, food handling and safety standards.
- To offer a warm, personalized and professional service, anticipating the needs of guests and recommending drinks according to their preferences.
- Manage inquiries, incidents or complaints with a proactive attitude and a focus on customer satisfaction.
- Maintain an active presence during service, especially during peak hours, ensuring prompt and efficient service.
- Collaborate closely with the front-of-house and kitchen team to ensure a comprehensive and excellent experience.
- Contribute to the achievement of commercial objectives through suggested sales and promotion of the hotel’s food and beverage offerings.
What are we looking for in you?
Training
- Compulsory Secondary Education and/or Higher Level.
- Professional training in cocktail making, gastronomy, hospitality or related fields will be valued.
- Specialized courses in mixology, spirits, wines or customer service are a plus.
Languages
- Advanced English (required).
- Knowledge of a third language will be highly valued.
Specific knowledge
- Mastery of classic and contemporary cocktail techniques.
- Managing service standards in luxury hotels.
- Knowledge of hygiene, safe handling of food and beverages, and safety regulations.
- Excellent customer service skills, attention to detail, and communication skills.
- Organizational skills, dynamism, proactivity and teamwork.
Experience
- Minimum of 1 year experience as a Bartender in upscale hotels, premium bars or high-end restaurants.
