JOB SUMMARY
The Sales Manager is responsible for identifying, developing, and converting new business opportunities through strategic and proactive sales efforts. This role focuses on generating revenue, expanding market presence, and building strong, long-term client relationships. The position plays a key role in driving the organization’s commercial success by actively engaging with clients, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and ensuring seamless turnover of business for flawless service delivery.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Sales & Business Development
- Proactively identifies, qualifies, and secures new business opportunities to achieve and exceed sales targets.
- Conducts strategic sales calls, client presentations, and business development meetings to secure new accounts and close deals.
- Ensures timely and accurate turnover of confirmed business to Event Management or Operations teams to guarantee service excellence.
- Develops and executes sales strategies tailored to the property’s target markets and business objectives.
Relationship Management
- Builds and maintains strong client relationships that encourage repeat business and long-term partnerships.
- Collaborates closely with on-property and off-property sales channels to coordinate efforts, eliminate duplication, and optimize overall revenue generation.
- Acts as a trusted advisor to clients by understanding their business needs, challenges, and expectations, offering customized solutions to maximize customer value.
Market Intelligence & Revenue Optimization
- Stays informed on market trends, competitor activities, and emerging business opportunities to inform strategic decision-making.
- Uses customer insights, market data, and business intelligence tools to identify revenue opportunities and adjust sales strategies proactively.
- Supports and promotes the company’s service and customer loyalty strategy, ensuring exceptional experiences across all touchpoints.
EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS
- Atleast 4 years of experience in sales, business development, or account management, preferably within hospitality, tourism, corporate services, or a related industry.
- Degree in Management, Tourism & Hospitality or any other related field.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks effectively, and manage multiple opportunities simultaneously.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret market data and apply insights to sales strategies.
- Ability to work flexible hours as needed to accommodate client engagements or business demands.
- Must have valid working rights in Fiji.
