About the job

Based at the Mandarin Oriental, Hong Kong within Food & Beverage Service Division in Hong Kong, the Headwaiter/Headwaitress – Speciality is responsible for supervising the daily operation and ensuring that the services provided are up to the hotel’s s set standards. The Headwaiter/Headwaitress reports to the Restaurant Manager.

As Headwaiter/Headwaitress – Speciality, you will be responsible for the following duties:

• Supervise the food products and services provided by the department
• Help with the training plans and carry out training sessions
• Maintain staff discipline and cooperation
• Inspect the cleanliness of all service equipment and side boards
• Prepare the duty roster for the service staff

As Headwaiter/Headwaitress – Speciality, we expect from you:

• At least 5 years of experience in Food & Beverage and with minimum 2 years experience at supervisory level. Experience in 5-star hotel is highly preferred
• Computer literature including Microsoft Excel and Word
• Fluent in English and Cantonese, knowledge of Mandarin is an advantage
• Strong leadership an organizational skills and excellent communication skills
