The Assistant Finance Manager is responsible for overseeing the hotel’s daily income audit function and ensuring that all revenue generated from Rooms, Food & Beverage, Spa, Recreation, and other operating outlets is accurately recorded, reconciled, and reported.

The position plays a key role in safeguarding hotel revenue by reviewing daily transactions, identifying discrepancies, ensuring proper revenue recognition, and maintaining effective internal controls. The role will work closely with the Front Office, Food & Beverage, Reservations, Sales, Spa, and other operational departments to ensure the accuracy and completeness of revenue reporting.

As Assistant Finance Manager you will be responsible for the following duties:

Income Audit & Revenue Verification

• Oversee the daily income audit process and ensure all hotel revenue is accurately captured and recorded.
• Review daily revenue reports from the Property Management System (PMS), Point-of-Sale (POS), and other operating systems.
• Verify room revenue, food and beverage revenue, spa revenue, recreation revenue, and other operating income.
• Reconcile PMS and POS revenue against the daily income reports and General Ledger.
• Review and investigate discrepancies, unusual transactions, voids, rebates, discounts, complimentary items, allowances, and adjustments.
• Ensure all revenue transactions are supported by appropriate documentation and approvals.
• Review daily revenue postings and ensure correct revenue codes, outlets, departments, and accounting classifications are used.
• Monitor revenue movements and identify potential errors or irregularities.

Daily Revenue & Night Audit Review

• Review the Night Audit package and ensure all required reports and supporting documents are complete.
• Verify the accuracy of room occupancy, room rate, room revenue, packages, rebates, and complimentary rooms.
• Review no-show, cancellation, house-use, complimentary, and staff room transactions.
• Ensure all adjustments and corrections are properly authorised and documented.
• Follow up with Front Office and other departments on discrepancies identified during the audit.
• Ensure daily revenue is closed and reported accurately within the required timeline.
