Job Description :

• We are seeking a passionate and motivated Casual Commis Chef to join our dynamic Culinary Team at Novotel & ibis Sydney Darling Harbour.
• Working alongside our experienced chefs, you will play an important role in delivering exceptional dining experiences across our restaurants, room service, buffet operations, and conference and events facilities.
• This casual opportunity is ideal for an enthusiastic chef looking to further develop their culinary skills in a fast-paced, professional kitchen environment. • Assist with the preparation, cooking and presentation of high-quality dishes across various kitchen operations.
• Maintain consistent food quality, presentation and portion standards in accordance with established recipes.
• Ensure all mise en place is prepared and ready for service.
• Maintain a clean, organised and hygienic kitchen environment, adhering to food safety and WHS standards.
• Support effective stock rotation, inventory management and waste minimisation.
• Work collaboratively with the Culinary and Food & Beverage teams to ensure efficient daily operations.
• Assist senior chefs with kitchen preparation and service requirements, particularly during busy periods.
