Job Description

 

The Accounting Manager is responsible for overseeing the hotel’s accounting operations, ensuring accurate financial reporting, and providing insightful analysis to support strategic decision-making. This role combines managerial accounting oversight with financial planning and analysis to optimize the hotel’s performance.

Key Responsibilities:

Accounting & Financial Reporting:

  • Manage daily accounting operations including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger activities.
  • Prepare timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with company standards and local regulations.
  • Ensure proper documentation and compliance with internal controls and accounting policies.
  • Reconcile balance sheet accounts and review journal entries.

 

Financial Analysis & Planning:

  • Conduct variance analysis comparing actual results to budget, forecasts, and prior periods.
  • Assist in preparing the annual budget and periodic forecasts.
  • Provide financial insights and recommendations to management to support operational and strategic decisions.
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and prepare management reports for department heads and senior management.
