We are seeking an enthusiastic and driven Assistant Banquets Operations Manager to join our team and support the delivery of exceptional events in our Sunshine Coast Convention Centre and conference spaces across the resort.

Reporting to the Conference & Events Operations Manager, you will play a key role in supporting the day-to-day operations of conferences, meetings, weddings and special events. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced hospitality professional looking to take the next step in their events career and develop their leadership skills within a large-scale resort environment.

Working closely with the Conference & Events Operations Manager and wider hotel teams, you will help bring events to life by supporting your team, ensuring seamless execution and delivering outstanding guest experiences.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support the delivery of conferences, meetings, weddings and events from setup through to completion.
• Assist in leading, coaching and motivating the Banquets Operations team.
• Coordinate with Food & Beverage, Kitchen and operational teams to ensure seamless event delivery.
• Maintain high service standards and respond to guest needs throughout events.
• Support rostering, labour management and operational efficiency.
• Build positive relationships with clients, organisers and internal stakeholders.
• Identify opportunities to improve processes and enhance event experiences.

You will bring:

• Minimum of three years’ experience in banquets, conference and events, hospitality or large-scale venue
• Proven ability to deliver exceptional service in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to support and motivate a team.
• Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities.
• A proactive approach with strong attention to detail.
