About the role

Plays an important role in assisting and supporting the Director Of Engineering & Chief Engineer in managing the engineering department. Takes responsibility in overseeing the repair and preventative maintenance of all Villas through the involvement of all subordinates. Must also possess a service-oriented mindset with competent technical skill and knowledge and with a committed attitude towards the hotel operation

What you will do

• Builds a motivated and skilled team, leads by example and instils a culture of continuous learning and improvement among employees; actively participates in Employee Relations activities and programs.
• Organizes and manages the department in accordance with company philosophy and policies, maximizing efficiency and productivity and achieving established goals; promotes harmony between departments.
• Displays warmth, care and genuine enthusiasm when dealing with guests and internal customers; lives the Golden Rule.
• Demonstrates standards awareness, by setting example for standards execution, standards testing and implementing action plans to achieve established product and service goals.
• Prepares annual plans and forecasts, consistently monitors and manages budgetary goals.
• Maintains an organized administration of departmental and personnel records, including shift planning and leaves planning.
• Conducts daily briefing and monthly departmental meeting.
• Provides regular and fair performance feedback to employees, formally and informally as appropriate.
• Maintains a clean and orderly work area and ensures tools & equipment are well maintained and in sufficient supply.
• Managing repair and maintenance project and building improvement by effectively coordinating and planning all tasks in advance of beginning any project under the direction of engineering management.
• Promotes and ensures a safe working environment.

What you bring

• Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in hotel engineering or a similar position.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC and building maintenance systems.
