The Opportunity

• Assist the Director of Finance in the administration of all financial aspects of the hotel’s operation.
• To ensure that all local and corporate policies and procedures are observed, and to supervise the day-to-day operation of the Accounting office.
• Prepare all financial statements, accruals and journal entries, and maintains reconciliations for all balance sheet accounts in established corporate formats and in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles, USALI 11.
• Have a thorough working knowledge of the contents of all volumes of the Accounting & Finance Policies and Procedures. Coordinate, observe and prepare all operating equipment and supply inventories in accordance with corporate policies as directed by the DOF.
• Prepare supervise and liaise with Capgemini on the offshore agreement with relation to Accounts Payable, Income Audit, Payroll, as well as Contracts Management and G/L Reconciliation.

Preferred Qualifications and Skills

• Reading, writing and oral proficiency in the English language, Spanish is an asset, but not required
• Must have a thorough knowledge of all jobs in the Accounting area.
• Must be willing to work a flexible schedule in order to accomplish all responsibilities and tasks.
• Must have a high degree of professional integrity, and be able to work in a safe, prudent and organized manner.
• Must have a commitment to follow all local and corporate policies and procedures.
• Four years’ experience as a hotel/resort Director or Assistant Director of Finance preferred.
• Minimum of BSC or BA in Business Administration with concentration in Accounting/Finance preferred.
