In this role as the Assistant Director of Human Resources you would be responsible for assisting the Director in the direction of administration of the Human Resources function in the hotel’s continuing effort to deliver outstanding guest service and financial profitability.
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of (3) years of experience in Human Resources management/leadership role. Experience managing a union property and experience with mediations & arbitrations is required. Luxury hospitality is preferred. A high school diploma or equivalent is required, a 4 year college degree is preferred. Considerable knowledge of Federal/State labor laws including but not limited to FMLA/CFRA/ADA as it pertains to leave of absence and reasonable accommodations. Working knowledge of Federal and local regulations relating to OSHA and worker’s compensation. Ability to supervise/direct both subordinates and non-subordinate personnel. Must be able to manage conflict and problem resolution, conduct investigations, and manage the hotel’s employee relations programs. Ability to speak, read, and write Spanish preferred.
