About the location:

Be a part of something truly special! Join the team of Four Seasons Cabo San Lucas at Cabo Del Sol as an Assistant Pastry Chef. This expansive property include 96 beautifully appointed guestrooms and 61 villas & estate residences centrally located in the “tourist corridor” between Cabo San Lucas and San José del Cabo on the top of Baja California Sur with amazing views of the sea where the Sea of Cortez meets the Pacific Ocean. Amenities will include three restaurants, three resort pools, an open-air fitness center, Spa & Spa Garden and a Clubhouse event facility.

 

Role & Tasks: 

We are looking for an individual who can be a part of the culinary staff that we have built who has a passion for pastry. You will coordinate the selection, training, development, and evaluation of employees in the Kitchen’s bakery/pastry shop through effective management and leadership to ensure that established cultural and core standards are met.

 

Requirements:

  • At least 4 years of Culinary Experience with 2 years leadership experience in a pastry kitchen
  • Must be creative and innovative to ensure continuous evolution of offerings.
  • A sincere willingness to provide service to residents, guests, and peers.
  • Good organizational skills, with the ability to work independently.
  • Ability to function well under pressure, set priorities and adjust to changing conditions.
  • High work ethic, with a sense of responsibility for the role filled within our team.

 

Responsibilities:  

  • Responsible for long-range strategic planning for outlet operation
  • Assist in the planning and development of menus for the Resort, ensure the correct preparation and presentation of a consistent level for all food items prepared through production and demonstration
  • Control labor and operating expenses through effective scheduling, budgeting, purchasing decisions, and inventory control.
  • Ensure that sanitation standards as set forth by Four Seasons, local, state, and federal regulations are in compliance as well as the cleanliness and organization of the kitchen.
  • Set up control systems which will assure quality and portion consistency and the ability to create proper purchasing specifications as well as monitor and review operating criteria and develop an awareness of the importance of food preparation and quality.
