Assistant Restaurant Manager

Mandarin Oriental, Hong Kong is looking for an Assistant Restaurant Manager to join our Food & Beverage Service team.

About the job

 

Based at the Mandarin Oriental, Hong Kong within Food & Beverage Service Division in Hong Kong, the Assistant Restaurant Manager is responsible for supervising the daily operation of the

restaurant and ensuring that the services provided are up to the hotel’s standards. The Assistant Restaurant Manager reports to the Restaurant General Manager.

 

As Assistant Restaurant Manager, you will be responsible for the following duties:

  • Supervise a smooth daily operation and support in administration
  • Understand guests’ needs and deliver excellent service
  • Handle guest complaints and comments
  • Provides professional development to colleagues and leading the team to achieve departmental goal and total guests’ satisfaction
  • Ensure the bar operation in full compliance with all safety and HACCP requirements
  • Liaise with kitchen team on a daily basis
  • Provide timely training and coaching to the colleagues
  • Assist in other ad hoc projects as assigned

As Assistant Restaurant Manager, we expect from you:

  • At least 3 years’ relevant working experience in similar capacity in hotel Food & Beverage, preferably in luxury hotel
  • Excellent managerial and interpersonal skills
  • Passion in customer service and hospitality industry
  • Able to work under pressure
  • International exposure will be an advantage
  • Excellent communication skills and fluent in Mandarin, Cantonese and English
