The position assists with the soliciting and handling of sales opportunities. Ensures business is turned over properly and in a timely fashion for proper service delivery. Assists in leading all day-to-day activities related to sales with a focus on building long-term, value-based customer relationships that enable achievement of sales objectives. Achieves personal sales goals.
CANDIDATE PROFILE
Education and Experience
4-year bachelor degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Hotel and Restaurant Management, or related major; no work experience required
Minimum 2–4 years of experience in hospitality sales (luxury or upscale segment preferred).
Proven track record managing DMC or Middle East markets.
Strong negotiation and relationship management skills.
Commercially driven with solid understanding of ADR, market mix, and revenue performance.
Excellent communication and presentation skills.
Knowledge of Maldives destination and Marriott systems is an advantage.
Additional languages will be considered an advantage.
CORE WORK ACTIVITIES
Key Responsibilities
Drive room night, ADR, and total revenue targets for DMC and Middle East markets.
Manage and grow key DMC partnerships within Maldives and GCC markets.
Develop and penetrate Middle East wholesale and tour operator segments.
Negotiate rates, tactical offers, and promotions aligned with revenue strategy.
Conduct proactive sales calls
Monitor market trends, competitor positioning, and booking windows.
Provide weekly and monthly production analysis with action plans.
Collaborate closely with Revenue, Marketing, Reservations, and Operations teams to ensure seamless execution.
