Job Description

 

Banquets Captain

Your ability to work as a team player combined with your service skills and your engaging personality will ensure that our Guests have a memorable experience during their function.

This is a full-time, permanent position.

Starting rate of pay: $20.55 per hour

We recognize tenure through our compensation – hourly rates increase after 6 months and then yearly to three years. At three years the pay rate for this role would be $27.25

Job Duties Include:

  • Consistently offer professional, friendly and engaging service
  • Provides excellent guest service in both F&B functions and meeting events
  • Sets up and tears down F&B functions as well as meeting events
  • Helps maintain a clean and organized workplace
  • Assists the Banquet Manager with preparing for and executing functions
  • Leads a team of Servers for assigned functions
  • Coordinates, organizes and helps to give proper assistance to servers
  • Maximizes productivity and efficiency of service staff
  • Ensures that all aspects of the dining room/banquet facilities are ready
  • Assigns tasks and performs opening and closing duties
  • Upholds the highest standard of internal and external customer service at all times

 

Qualifications

 

  • Previous customer related supervisory experience preferred
  • Food Safe Certification is required
  • Serving It Right Qualification Required
