Central Asst Purchasing Mgr

Job Description

  • Independently handle the key areas assigned from time to time related to all Resort of Minor Resorts in Maldives
  • Resolve the PRS in the Oracle and Materials Control PO database for each Resort as assigned
  • Follow the Standard operating procedure of bidding and finalizing the orders
  • Work closely with the internal and external customers to ensure availability of products are services at all times for the smooth operation of the Resort functions
  • Clean up the Pending POS in the system on a monthly basis
  • Update and share the balance in the Customs Duty portal on a monthly basis with Finance Team
  • Prepare and share the pending PO Report per Resort with operations team as assigned on a monthly basis
  • Ensure timely customs clearance of shipments by close coordinate with customs clearance agent
  • Ensure the Advance payment register is updated and shared with Finance on a monthly basis
  • Share the savings data in the area of work by last day of every month
  • Participate in rate negotiation process as assigned
  • Participate in any other Cluster purchasing functions as assigned from time to time
  • Adhere to all purchasing policies and procedures at all times

Qualifications

  • 1-2 years of experience in similar role will be considered as an advantage.
  • Interest and motivation to learn and develop within Procurement field.
  • Good knowledge of both written and spoken English.
  • High attention to details, self-driven and able to identify the need for proactivity;
  • Analytical approach towards processes and procedures;
  • High sense of responsibility and ability to collaborate with a cross-functional team;
  • Solid organizational skills, including multitasking and time-management;
  • Knowledge of MS Excel, Word, Outlook
  • Knowledge about Oracle
