Our on-site restaurant, Andiamo, showcases seasonal regional produce through a modern, relaxed dining experience that celebrates flavour, quality and connection to place.

As Chef de Partie, you’ll play a key role in the day-to-day operations of the kitchen, leading by example and maintaining exceptional standards of food preparation and presentation. Working closely with our Head Chef and Sous Chef, you’ll help deliver consistently memorable dining experiences while supporting and developing junior team members.

Whether it’s a casual meal for locals, a conference event or a special celebration for visiting guests, your contribution will help create experiences worth returning for.

 

Job Description

 

We’re seeking a passionate and driven Chef de Partie to join our dynamic kitchen team. This hands-on role is ideal for a chef who thrives in a collaborative environment, values quality and consistency, and takes pride in their craft.

You’ll be involved in all aspects of kitchen operations, from preparing and presenting beautifully executed dishes to ensuring smooth service and strong team communication. You’ll also play an important role in mentoring junior chefs and maintaining the standards that define the Peppers Marysville experience.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Preparing and cooking dishes across à la carte, events and conference service
  • Maintaining exceptional food safety, hygiene and kitchen standards
  • Collaborating with the culinary team to develop creative, seasonal menu offerings
  • Supporting, mentoring and developing junior kitchen team members
  • Contributing to efficient service flow and clear communication during busy periods

Qualifications

 

About you:

  • Trade-qualified with 3-5 years proven experience in a 4-star hotel or high end restaurant
  • Confident in à la carte service and comfortable performing under pressure without compromising quality or consistency.
  • Skilled in classical culinary techniques and industry-standard procedures.
  • Detail-oriented, service-focused and passionate about presentation and quality
  • Well-organised with excellent time management skills
