Chef de Partie Pastry

  • Ensure all pastry and dessert preparation meets established standards
  • Prepare and present high-quality desserts, pastries, and baked products
  • Supervise and guide pastry commis and junior staff
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of all pastry work areas and prevent cross-contamination
  • Prepare all mise-en-place for pastry menus (à la carte, banquets, events, etc.)
  • Assist in responding to guest requests related to desserts in a timely and professional manner
  • Ensure all ingredients are of high quality and stored correctly
  • Contribute to controlling food costs, minimizing waste, and improving profit margins within the pastry section
  • Collaborate with other kitchen sections and maintain strong working relationships
  • Assist the Head Chef / Sous Chef in training pastry staff according to company standards
  • Report any maintenance, hygiene, or safety issues
  • Comply with hotel security, fire regulations, and all health & safety and food safety legislation
  • Maintain awareness of sustainable and environmentally friendly practices
