A little taste of your day-to-day:

You’ll have a true drive to progress your culinary career and develop your skills. You will have the opportunity to produce a wide range of quality products, using local, seasonal produce, whilst exercising your knowledge of hygiene and safety and maintaining our high guest service standards.

Every day is different, but you’ll mostly be:

  • Making every single meal a feast for the eyes and treat for the tastebuds
  • Ensuring the highest standards and consistent quality in the daily preparation and keep up to date with the new products, recipes, and preparation techniques
  • Ensuring that your work area, equipment and section is stocked and kept clean at all times, in accordance with current health and hygiene regulations
  • Taking on other ad-hoc duties like a true team player, including washing up as required

 

What we need from you:

At Crowne Plaza Adelaide our goal is to make business travel work. We look for people who are dynamic, confident and ambitious; people who excel in their role and help our guests succeed too!

You will also have:

  • Commercial Cookery qualification and 1-2 years previous culinary experience
  • An understanding of HACCP and the ability to comply with local laws on food handling
  • Great communication – you’ll be warm, welcoming and easy to talk to
  • A good grasp of reading, writing and basic maths
  • The strength to lift, push and pull big objects up to 23 kg, which can also involve bending and kneeling
  • Flexibility to work a 24/7 rotating roster – nights, weekend and public holiday shifts are all part of the job.
  • Compliant – must hold a Food Safety Certificate
  • Must meet the legal requirement to work in Australia without limitations or restrictions
