Job Description

As our Commis Chef in our Breakfast Team, you will be vital in keeping your kitchen section organized, efficient, and performing at a high standard, while consistently meeting all service expectations and brand requirements. Your key responsibilities include, but are not limited to;

  • Prepare, cook, and present menu items to a high standard, following recipes and supporting smooth breakfast and banquets operations.
  • Collaborate effectively with the team, assisting senior chefs, contributing to departmental goals, and ensuring strong cross-department relationships.
  • Maintain and collaborate on stock rotation/ stock control processes to reduce wastage and maintain hygiene and cleanliness standards.
  • Perform tasks within a timely manner to ensure high guest satisfaction.
Qualifications

Whilst talent and attitude are our primary requirements, ideally you also have:

  • A passion for delivering a wonderful culinary experience to our guests.
  • Previous experience in a similar role or currently studying culinary
  • Understanding of workplace health & safety principles.
  • NZ Food Safety certificate or the willingness to obtain one. Preferred but not essential.
  • Flexibility – you are required to work a variety of shifts, including late nights, early mornings, public holidays and weekends
