Job description:

 

Job Mission: Responsible for the preparation/regeneration and presentation of food produced in the assigned kitchen, through the efficient performance of their duties, complying at all times with the quality standards and recipes established for each of the dishes requested, paying special attention to the creativity, composition, seasoning and presentation of the same to ensure the satisfaction of guests and clients, obtaining their recognition and preference for the Hotel’s food.

 

What will you have to do?

 

OPERATIONS

 

  • He complies with the instructions of his immediate supervisor regarding shifts, schedules, tasks and workloads for the day he must perform, with the assistance of the assigned Kitchen Assistant. 

 

  • Carry out the arrangement of the camera and refrigerators of your station, for the correct use of the products, continuously striving to achieve the highest levels of efficiency in the use of resources within your section and department. 

 

  • Ensure all refrigerated products are in good condition, using the oldest items first and setting aside newly received items for later use. Continuously verify that the refrigerators and cold storage rooms maintain the correct temperature. 

 

  • Carry out the assigned production according to the procedures and presentation established in the quality standards, recipes and photographs, monitoring the control of portions and ensuring that waste is the minimum acceptable. 

 

  • It ensures that all requests from the consumption center are delivered efficiently and on time, complying with the required specifications regarding side dishes, cooking times, etc. 

 

  • It complies with HACCP, safety, cleanliness and hygiene standards in all its functions, maintaining the highest standards of hygiene, cleanliness and order, minimizing the risks of accidents arising from unsafe practices and ensuring the quality of the food that is prepared.  

 

  • Ensure that the products used in the preparations meet the standards of quality, quantity and performance, reporting any anomalies or deviations to your immediate supervisor. 

 

  • Maintains close communication with their immediate supervisor to coordinate the interaction of their section with other kitchen areas, the food service area, and other departments of the Hotel. 

 

  • Immediately inform your supervisor of any setbacks that occur during the performance of your duties and that may affect the operation of the section.
