About the location:

Nestled along a two-mile (3.2-kilometre) stretch of beach in Puerto Rico’s Bahia Beach community, Four Seasons Resort and Residences Puerto Rico is also surrounded by its own 483-acre (195-hectare) private nature reserve. The property is seamlessly integrated with its natural surroundings, allowing guests and residents to immerse themselves in the white sand beaches, verdant walking trails, and myriad outdoor activities – from golf, tennis, swimming and beyond.

 

 

About the role:
The Four Seasons Puerto Rico is seeking a Cook 3 to join our culinary team. Prepare breakfast, lunch, and dinner, food items per guest order in accordance with production requirements and quality standards while maintaining a safe, sanitary work environment.

 

What you will do:

  • Complete mise en place and set-up station for lunch and/or dinner service
  • Operates, upholds and properly cleans kitchen equipment while maintaining a safe, sanitary work environment.
  • Prepare food items according to guest orders of consistent quality following recipe cards, as well as production, portion, and presentation standards; complete mis en place and set-up station for breakfast, lunch, and/or dinner service.
  • Start food items that are prepared ahead of time, making sure they are not prepared beyond estimated needs.
  • Operate, maintain and properly clean kitchen equipment, including deep fryer, broiler, stove, steamer, food processor, mixer, slicer, oven, steam table, tilt kettle, waffle iron, and flat top grill.

 

What you will bring: 

  • Minimum two years culinary or related work experience.  Intermediate culinary knowledge is expected for this position. Working knowledge is generally learned on-the-job.
  • High school education, cooking school or culinary institute education or equivalent experience.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods
  • Strong knowledge of health codes and full understanding of all knife cuts
  • Ability to operate, maintain and properly clean deep fryer, broiler, stove, steamer, food processor, mixer, slicer, oven, steam table, tilt

kettle, waffle iron, flat top grill. .

  • Proficient knife skills and ability to multi-task.
