JOB DESCRIPTION

The Hilton Cabana Miami Beach Resort is seeking a full-time cook to join their culinary team! Overlooking the Atlantic Ocean, the hotel offers direct access to the beach and the nine-mile Miami Beachwalk.

Ideal candidate has previous line cook experience, good knife skills, hotel/hospitality experience, previous experience in a fast pace and high volume kitchen and the ability to work well under pressure. Banquets experience is highly preferred but not required

Shift Pattern: variable with typical shift times from 2:30-10:30pm or  3-11pm. Weekend/holiday availability required.

Pay Rate: $17.00 per hour

What will I be doing?

  • Prepare food items according to designated recipes and quality standards
  • Maintain cleanliness and comply with food sanitation standards at all times
  • Manage guest orders in a friendly, timely and efficient manner
  • Ensure knowledge of menu and all food products
  • Stock and maintain designated food station(s)
  • Visually inspect all food sent from the kitchen
  • Practice correct food handling and food storage procedures according to federal, state, local and company regulations
  • Prepare requisitions for supplies and food items, as needed
