Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Director of Housekeeping to lead our housekeeping team and ensure the highest standards of cleanliness, presentation, and service. This leadership role is critical in upholding our reputation and creating an outstanding experience for every guest and visitor.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and manage the housekeeping department including supervisors, room attendants, laundry, and public area staff.
• Ensure all guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces are maintained to the highest standard of cleanliness and hygiene.
• Develop and implement housekeeping procedures, schedules, and quality control measures.
• Oversee inventory control for supplies, linen, and equipment.
• Monitor department budgets and labor costs, ensuring efficient resource management.
• Recruit, train, and develop team members; ensure performance standards are met.
• Partner with other departments to coordinate special requests, maintenance issues, and guest preferences.
• Address guest feedback regarding cleanliness promptly and professionally to enhance overall guest satisfaction.
• Maintain compliance with safety and sanitation regulations, as well as property policies.
• Stay updated on industry trends related to housekeeping practices and implement best practices as necessary.

What we need from you

Qualifications

• Minimum 4 years of proven experience in housekeeping management within the hospitality industry, preferably in a resort or similar setting.
• Resort or High-occupancy Hotel experience preferred. IHG Brand is highly favored.
• Strong knowledge of industrial cleaning techniques, custodial practices, and floor care maintenance.
• Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team effectively.
• Exceptional organizational skills with keen attention to detail.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with staff and guests.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays as needed.
• A commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and safety throughout the facility.
• Knowledge of housekeeping systems, cleaning equipment, and OSHA standards.
