The iconic Waldorf Astoria property in New Orleans, The Roosevelt, is seeking a Director of Security to join the team!

Our luxury hotel offers an unparalleled combination of Southern hospitality, world-class service and historic surroundings. As the centerpiece of the city, the hotel is located near the French Quarter and within walking distance to the city’s most vibrant attractions and entertainment, including Jackson Square, Bourbon Street and the Arts & Warehouse District.

Embodying the rich heritage of Southern hospitality, the historic hotel features 504 rooms, over 60,000 square feet of meeting space, and five (5) food and beverage outlets. This includes 2 restaurants, a café, seasonal rooftop bar, and in-room dining.

A Director of Security and Safety is responsible for directing and administering the implementation of all safety and security programs and initiatives to ensure the safety of guests and team members and the security of the hotel and property in the hotel’s continuing effort to deliver outstanding service and financial profitability.

What will I be doing?

As a Director of Security and Safety, you would be responsible for directing and administering the implementation of all safety and security programs and initiatives to ensure the safety of guests and team members and the security of the hotel and property in the hotel’s continuing effort to deliver outstanding service and financial profitability. Specifically, you would be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:

• Direct the flow of guest traffic (crowd control) in the lobby during high operational times and peak times (i.e. holiday season).
• Direct and administer all Safety and Security operations and functions to include, but not limited to, preserving the safety and security of the guests, team members and the facility, safe work practice promotion, OSHA compliance, safety incentive programs and classes, systems use and management, lost and found, budgeting and forecasting, department management, adherence
