Electrician

TASKS, DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1. To report for duty punctually wearing the correct uniform and name tag. To maintain a high standard of personal appearance and hygiene and adhere to the hotel and department appearance standards.
2. To provide friendly, courteous and professional service at all times.
3. Maintain good working relationships with colleagues and all other departments.
4. Maintain the hotel internal and externally in your qualified trade to the desired standard.
5. Ensure correct spares are used for all job’s requirements.
6. Daily cleaning of workshops, maintaining log books and initiating necessary follow-up with any pending requests.
7. Ensures that the plant rooms and related areas are kept in a clean and tidy condition.
8. Complete work orders as requested by the senior manager/ supervisor  to meet customer requirements and operational needs
9. Respond to any hotel kit and guest maintenance request within 15 minutes on receipt of the same.
10. Any hotel kit that is in need of major repairs this should be reported to the Maintenance supervisor and the senior manager on duty.
11. Involve and carryout any project work required throughout the hotel.
12. Attends to all types MEP repair and maintenance works in the hotel premises, including any new additional/extensions to the hotel or any other properties maintained by the hotel.
13. Carry out the preventative maintenance as per given guidelines to the satisfaction of the department.
14. Ensure all PPM is completed in a timely manner as and when required by the department.
15. Carry out electrical maintenance and repairs of equipment as and when requested by the department.
16. Maintain all electrical distribution panels and equipment to the optimum standard.
17. Demonstrate flexibility in changing the shifts and continue extended duties as per the necessity and in event of emergencies and as requested by the department.
18. General building maintenance repairs are carried out as per the needs of the department.
19. Report any damages / maintenance requirements / suspected abuse of equipment / Fire Life safety / negligence / arson to the Assistant DOE and or DOE immediately.
20. Carries out routine maintenance, daily checklists and assists in  repairs to all types of electrical equipment such as laundry equipment, kitchen equipment, heating, ventilation and air-conditioning equipment including motors and motor controls, fans, water treatment plants, sewage treatment plants, and emergency generators.
21. Attends to repair and maintenance of transformers and electrical low-tension panels.
22. Repairs, maintains and installs wiring, motors, transformers, lighting and other electrical system.
23. Attends to electrical and ancillaries’ installations such as audio/video cables, computer cables and MATV systems as and when requested by management.
24. Observes prescribed safety standards.  Helps maintain safe conditions for self and others.
25. Performs related duties and special projects as assigned.
