Executive Housekeeper

JOB SUMMARY

The Executive Housekeeper is responsible for the overall leadership, strategic direction, and day-to-day management of the Housekeeping department, including guestrooms, public areas, laundry, recreation areas, and other assigned operational spaces.

The role ensures consistently high standards of cleanliness, presentation, hygiene, and maintenance across the property in accordance with brand and resort standards. As part of an island-based operation, the Executive Housekeeper is also responsible for effective workforce planning, inventory and supply management, cost control, and close coordination with other departments to ensure uninterrupted operations.

The Executive Housekeeper plays a key role in delivering exceptional guest experiences, developing and engaging the Housekeeping team, protecting hotel assets, and driving operational and financial performance.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

I. Operational Leadership & Housekeeping Management

• Lead and oversee daily Housekeeping operations across guestrooms, public areas, laundry, recreation facilities, and other assigned areas.
• Ensure all areas consistently meet established cleanliness, presentation, hygiene, and brand standards.
• Establish and monitor cleaning schedules, room assignments, productivity standards, and quality inspection processes.
• Maintain effective communication with Front Office regarding room status, priority rooms, arrivals, departures, and special guest requirements.
• Work closely with Engineering to identify maintenance requirements and ensure timely resolution of defects and preventive maintenance issues.
• Ensure appropriate equipment, supplies, linen, chemicals, and resources are available to support efficient daily operations.
