Executive Sous Chef

Nestled in the heart of the Short North Arts District, across from the street from the Greater Columbus Convention Center, our hotel boasts 1,000 guest rooms, 75,000 square feet of event space and several unique dining experiences.

The Hilton Columbus Downtown is currently seeking an Executive Sous Chef to oversee both our Gallerie Bar & Bistro restaurant as well as The Market/Provisions on High “Grab & Go” Cafes to join our award-winning property.

The ideal candidate for this position will have a minimum of 2 years of high-volume production experience, a natural leadership ability and previous experience with ordering and creating production guides.  The preferred candidate will possess fine dining experience, a wide knowledge of various cuisine styles and a positive approach to hospitality.

This is a Full-Time position, candidates must have full availability including nights, weekends and holidays.

What will I be doing?

As Executive Sous Chef, you would be responsible for assisting in the direction and administration of the planning, preparation, production and control of all culinary operations in the hotel’s continuing effort to deliver outstanding guest service and financial profitability. Specifically, you would be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:

  • Assist the Executive Chef in the direction and oversight of all culinary operations, to include, but not limited to, preparation and production of all hotel meals, food quality and presentation, compliance with all safety and sanitation standards and regulation, team member productivity and performance, implementation of policies and procedures, cost controls and overall profitability
