Situated in the heart of the Brisbane CBD, with views out over the river to Southbank, the ibis Styles Brisbane is a modern, stylish hotel catering for both business and leisure guests. With 367 rooms, ibis Styles Brisbane is one of the largest hotels in Brisbane City. We are a bright, colourful and stylish hotel, with a vibrant and diverse culture of Heartists who work here with us.

We are looking for our next Full-time Food & Beverage Supervisor to join the ibis Styles Brisbane Elizabeth Street team.

 

Job Description

 

With a combination of breakfast, lunch and dinner service as well as conferencing job tasks, this role has plenty of variety. You’ll work alongside the Leadership Team to ensure seamless guest experiences.

Your role includes but isn’t limited to the following tasks:

  • Lead and support the Food & Beverage team in daily operations.
  • Supervise restaurant, bar and conferencing activities to ensure seamless service.
  • Assist with recruitment, induction, training and ongoing development of team members, ensuring compliance with brand standards and mandatory learning requirements.
  • Coach, train and develop team members.
  • Assist with rostering, stock control and operational planning.
  • Deliver prompt, professional and friendly service to all guests.
  • Promote menu items and maximise sales through product knowledge and suggestive selling.
  • Ensure accurate order taking, guest billing and point of sale transactions.
  • Maintain cleanliness, presentation and food safety standards across all areas.
  • Ensure compliance with RSA, liquor licensing, WHS and company policies and procedures.
  • Coordinate the setup and pack-down of conference and function events.
  • Promote Accor’s Heartist culture to create memorable guest experiences.

This is a Full-time role, working across a rotating roster of 7 days per week, with working hours ranging from 6.00am through to 9.30pm.

 

Qualifications

 

  • Valid Australian RSA. Approved Manager Licence (RMLV).
  • Previous Food & Beverage management experience preferred.
  • Strong guest service and communication skills.
  • Ability to lead and motivate a team.
  • Passion for hospitality and creating great guest experiences.
  • Strong financial acumen and cost control to drive commercial performance.
  • Solid understanding of food and beverage operations
  • Full Australian Working Rights Required – this role is not available for sponsorship
