Golf – Retail Associate

As a Golf – Retail Associate at Fairmont Chateau Whistler, you will be an ambassador for our on-site championship golf course and the exceptional service that our colleagues offer. Your warm, personal attention provides a memorable experience for guests of our golf course, making them feel welcome and valued.

Starting Rate of Pay: $21.60 per hour

We recognize tenure through our compensation – hourly rates increase after 6 months and then yearly to three years. At three years the pay rate for this role would be $24.95.

Job Duties Include:

• ​​​Maximize retail profits through effective sales techniques, expert product knowledge and inventory controls
• Coordinate golf course registration
• Ensure the Golf Shop is professionally merchandised at all times
• Assist the Event & Tournament Coordinator in the execution of golf events
• Follow all policies, procedures and service standards
• Ensure seamless guest movement from the shuttle arrival through the Golf Shop to the cart staging area

• A valid Class 5 BC Driver’s license with a clean record is required
• Previous customer service and/or retail experience is required
• Previous golf course experience an asset, but not required
• Previous point of sale system experience an asset, but not required
• Computer proficiency in a Windows environment (specifically, Word and Excel)
