About the role
We are looking for a passionate Groundskeeper who strives for excellence in a fast-paced work environment. This position reports to our Assistant Director of Landscaping.
What you will do
To maintain, upkeep and beautify the Hotel garden areas both interior and exterior gardens / landscape. To be able to see Landscape defects and implement necessary changes that maintain or improve the aesthetic quality of the garden. To foresee gardens needs and anticipate time, labor and material requirements to accomplish solutions. To be able to anticipate the needs of our guests and their expectations especially as they relate to the garden
What you bring
• High school
• Previous experience in agricultural operations and or Facility landscape maintenance is highly desirable
• Desirable but not required; Irrigation skills, Plant propagation, Understanding of plant growth and culture. Experience in weed and pest control.
• Arboriculture. Experience with customer relations and anticipatory service
• Required: Ability to operate and maintain various small equipment. Understanding of Safety and hazardous materials.
• Ability to read and write simple reports.
• Ability to operate small utility vehicles.
• Desirable certifications are; Certified Arborist, Pest control applicator, Industry certified Landscape technician.
