Group Experience Sales Specialist

The iconic Hotel del Coronado is looking for a Group Experience Sales Specialist to join the team! Join one of the last surviving wooden Victorian beach resorts in the world and after a $400M renovation and expansion, the resort is more stunning than ever.  

Located on Coronado Island just minutes from Downtown San Diego, this 28-acre property was built in 1888 and has over 750 rooms, cottages, and villas with 65,000 square feet of banquet space, and 10 food and beverage outlets. This includes 4 restaurants, 2 bars, a food truck, marketplace, ice cream shop, and in-room dining.  

In this role you will be responsible for promoting and selling elevated group recreation and team-building experiences that reflect the luxury and sophistication of our resort.

The ideal candidate is a dynamic hospitality professional with 1-3 years of experience in recreation and/or group event coordination. They excel at crafting and selling premium recreation and team-building experiences, collaborating across departments to deliver seamless, high-touch guest events. Strong relationship-building, logistical planning, and presentation skills are essential to drive group revenue and elevate the resort’s brand.

Classification: Full-Time

Pay Rate: The pay range for this role is $32.00 to $34.00 per hour plus incentives and is based on applicable and specialized experience and location. 

What will I be doing?

As our Group Experience Sales Specialist, you will play a key role in promoting and selling elevated group recreation and team-building experiences that reflect the luxury and sophistication of our resort. This position combines proactive sales efforts with hands-on event coordination to ensure every guest experience exceeds expectations. You will work closely with the Sales, Events, and Recreation teams to create distinctive and memorable activities that strengthen guest connections and drive group revenue.
