Hairstylist

A Hairdresser is responsible for cutting, styling, and treating hair to deliver an excellent Guest and Member experience while building rapport with clients and keeping current on new techniques and styles.

What will I be doing?

As a Hairdresser, you are responsible for cutting, styling, and treating hair to deliver an excellent Guest and Member experience. A Hairdresser will also be required to build rapport with clients, up-sell products, and perform reception duties. Specifically, you will be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:

• Ascertain and address customer requirements
• Cut hair using scissors, clippers and razors
• Shampoo, condition and rinse hair
• Provide specialised treatments including conditioning, bleaching, tinting and straightening hair
• Dry and style hair using combs, brushes, straightening irons and other equipment
• Advise clients on hair care, recommend products and provide technical assistance
• Attend hairdressing and cosmetics training and seminars to keep current on emerging techniques and products
• Keep client records and schedule appointments
• Perform reception duties including answering phone calls and enquiry emails
• Up-sell retail products and write up client record cards
• Maintain a clean and tidy work area
• Assist other hairdressers with tasks as applicable
• Sterilize and maintain equipment in good working condition
• Demonstrate customer rapport with clients
