As Housekeeping Supervisor, you will work closely with the Executive Housekeeper to ensure the smooth and efficient running of the Housekeeping Department, maintaining high standards of cleanliness, guest care and service.
• Assist with the daily checking of bedrooms, staff areas and public areas to maintain required standards.
• Review and approve daily timesheets, ensuring hours worked are accurate and submitted correctly.
• Assist with the preparation and management of departmental rosters to ensure appropriate staffing levels, productivity and guest service while maintaining wage costs.
• Coordinate daily room allocations and housekeeping duties to ensure efficient workflow and rooms are serviced within required timeframes.
• Support the training, development and induction of Housekeeping team members, ensuring staff understand departmental procedures and service expectations.
• Assist with the preparation, implementation and ongoing review of departmental processes and procedures.
• Ensure the security of guest rooms and keys.
• Ensure the safe storage and effective use of cleaning materials and equipment.
• Assist with the effective running of the laundry and linen operation, including inventories.
• Ensure the correct handling of guest laundry and lost property.
• Liaise with Front Office and Maintenance regarding room readiness, room status and guest requirements.
• Respond to special guest requests with a sense of urgency.
• Ensure VIP rooms have the correct amenities as requested by Front Office.
• Ensure housekeeping storerooms are adequately stocked.
• Delegate duties and coordinate the team to ensure all shift responsibilities are covered.
• Conduct regular team briefings and ensure relevant operational information is communicated effectively.
• Lead by example and support the Executive Housekeeper in maintaining positive staff morale and a strong team environment.
• Complete all duties and provide a clear handover to the Duty Manager.
• Follow Accor Brand Standards, departmental procedures and company policies.
• Support and participate in all Health & Safety requirements and safe work practices.
• Provide friendly and professional service to all guests and colleagues.
• Contribute to cost control through the correct use and storage of materials and equipment.
