About the role
As a Kitchen Steward you will support the kitchen staff by maintaining cleanliness, washing dishes, and assisting with basic food preparation tasks. You will ensure the kitchen is well-stocked and organised, contributing to a smooth and efficient operation. This role is essential for maintaining high hygiene standards and supporting chefs during busy periods. Specifically, your role will involve:

• Operate dishwashers to ensure every item is sanitised correctly
• Clean and tidy the kitchen spaces around the hotel
• Keep storerooms clean and tidy at all times
• Ensure hygiene and health and safety standards are met at all times
• Oversee the smooth operation of the hotels loading bay including relocating deliveries and waste disposal bins while following safe manual handling practices
• Work with the kitchen team to ensure everything we do provides excellent service to our guests

What are we looking for?

• Previous experience handling and working with chemicals
• Confident communication skills and a passion for delivering exceptional dining experiences
• The flexibility and availability to work weekends on a rotating roster
• A professional attitude and strong work ethic
