Linen Porter Supervisor

POSITION SUMMARY

ABOUT THE ROLE
Reporting to the Style Manager (Housekeeping Manager), as Linen Porter Supervisor you will
play a key role in ensuring cleanliness throughout the hotel, including guest rooms, public
spaces and back of house areas.
Joining the team means you will be instrumental to the success of the hotel’s operation and
beyond. We are looking for someone who is detail-oriented, a people-person and committed to
excellence!

As Linen Porter Supervisor, key aspects of your role will include:

• Sorting, counting, recording and checking in and out all linen.
• Inspecting the cleanliness and maintenance of storage area, corridors and public
spaces.
• Delegating and prioritizing tasks such as stocking linen trolleys, Housekeeping storage
cupboards and guest service items.
• Ensure compliance with all Health and Safety protocols.
• Providing guests with requested service and handling any special requests.
• Be a role model within the department, assisting the team to perform their role when
required.
• Ensure grooming standards are met with clean uniform and neat personal appearance.
• Reporting any maintenance issues.
• Take ownership of guest issues and see them through to resolution.
• Train Linen Porters to become experts in their role.
• Supervise the daily operation of the Style (Housekeeping) department, including
assisting in the supervision of Room Attendants and Public Area Attendants when
required.
• Communicate and coordinate between Style, Welcome Office (Front Office) and
Engineering to ensure any guest or maintenance issues are logged and resolved.
• Develop teamwork throughout your team.
• Work in partnership with the Style management team to ensure the successful and
efficient functioning of the department.
• Be a role model within the department, assisting the team to perform their role when
required.
• Be a W brand ambassador, ensuring the brand’s voice is present in your interactions
with guests and talent

Our ideal Linen Porter Supervisor is someone who has:

• A keen eye for detail.
• Strong organization and multi-tasking skills.
• Confidence interacting with guests.
• Good communication skills – both written and verbal English.
• Previous experience supervising a team: delegating tasks, giving constructive feedback,
and highlighting performance concerns to senior managers.
• Previous experience working in five-star, luxury/lifestyle hotels
