Metropolitan Hospitality is a growing hotel and restaurant management company on Vancouver Island
We go above and beyond to keep our guests’ experiences on track. If you can fix it for our hotel to run smoothly, you could be the perfect match for our new Maintenance Representative role.
Every day is different, but you’ll mostly be:
● Repairing, replacing and refurbishing items around the hotel
● Taking responsibility for the safety and cleanliness of areas inside and outside of the hotel
● Following the preventative maintenance calendar and looking for new ways to improve our guests’ experiences
● Keeping your supervisor or duty manager in the loop
● Being ready to step up and take on extra duties, and assisting housekeeping as needed
● You’ll have at least one year of painting, construction,maintenance or repair work under your belt
● You’ll be familiar with basic computer , email and software
● CPO certification – a Certified Pool Operator license would be ideal, but not necessary
● A reasonable level of fitness – you’ll be on your feet most of the day, and will need to bend and kneel a lot
● Great communication skills, you’ll be warm, welcoming and easy to talk to

Starting salary is $25 per hour, retention bonus, incentives for hotel occupancy, medical and dental coverage and an opportunity for growth are all provided
