The Four Seasons Resort Hualalai is looking for a Marine Husbandry specialist who shares a passion for excellence and who infuses enthusiasm into everything they do. Our Resource Specialists have the opportunity to shape our guest experience by providing exceptional knowledge of the Resort and exemplifying the Golden Rule in each interaction.

 

We’re hiring for a Temporary position from October 20, 202- February 27, 2026 

WHAT YOU’LL DO

  • Coordinate all tank/pond cleaning, food preparation, feeding, water quality analysis, health maintenance, and record-keeping.
  • Daily health check of all species and systems on property.
  • Follow and create new SOP (standard operating procedures) when necessary for the treatment of animals and maintenance of systems.
  • Quarterly scuba dives for Kings Pond feeding quality control.
  • Provide up to date research and water analysis on all systems and animal treatments.
  • Assist in the maintenance of all Kaʻūpūlehu natural fishponds, anchialine pools, and man-made water features, including the maintenance of all on property aquaculture.
  • Assist with the design and implementation of Resort guest, member and community education programs.
  • Assist with scientific field data collection.

WHAT TO BRING

  • Successful candidate must possess legal work authorization in United States.
  • College degree in marine science or related field. Experience in aquaculture. Ability to maintain various living water features and care for living marine animals and systems.
  • The candidate must be able to demonstrate the ability to interact and communicate very well with Resort guests, residents, and school and community groups.
  • A good understanding of basic water quality, Hawaiian fish identification and ecological concepts.
  • Good organizational skills, with the ability to work independently, and plan proactively.
  • High work ethic, with a keen sense of responsibility for the role filled within a team dynamic.
  • A valid drivers license.
  • Ability to carry 50 lbs. And the ability to swim 50 ft.
  • Scuba certification
