Night Auditor

The Night Auditor position carries significant responsibilities crucial to the financial integrity and guest satisfaction of our establishment during night hours. The role encompasses the following critical duties:

• Coordinate and execute the night audit function with utmost precision and timeliness
• Uphold the highest standards of honesty and integrity in all financial transactions of the hotel
• Serve as the primary point of contact for guests during night hours, delivering exceptional customer service
• Operate the Front desk during night shifts with efficiency, managing check-ins, check-outs, and addressing guest inquiries
• Conduct thorough reconciliation of daily revenue and prepare comprehensive financial reports
• Verify and balance all cashiers’ work for the day with meticulous attention to detail
• Identify and resolve any discrepancies in financial records promptly and accurately
• Monitor and update room inventory and rates to ensure optimal occupancy and revenue
• Process end-of-day transactions and generate system reports with precision
• Address guest requests and complaints, ensuring swift and satisfactory resolution
• Maintain stringent security protocols and respond to emergencies as required
• Collaborate effectively with other departments to ensure seamless hotel operations
• Prepare detailed and accurate handover notes for the morning shift
• Continuously update knowledge of hotel services, local attractions, and events to provide informed and professional assistance to guests

This position is integral to maintaining the financial accuracy and guest satisfaction of our establishment during critical night hours. The Night Auditor must demonstrate unwavering commitment to excellence in all aspects of the role.

• College diploma in hotel management, finance, or related field
• Previous experience in Front Office or Night Audit role
• Experience with Front Office Systems and property management software
• Good level of English, both written and spoken
• Strong mathematical and analytical skills
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in financial transactions
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel
• Ability to work independently and make decisions under pressure
• Flexible schedule with availability to work night shifts, weekends, and holidays
• Strong problem-solving and conflict resolution skills
• Knowledge of cash handling procedures and financial reconciliation
• Excellent customer service skills with a professional demeanour
• Basic understanding of hotel operations and interdepartmental communication
• Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information
• First Aid and CPR certification (preferred)

Full grade twelve school certificate

Three traceable referees with their emails and mobile numbers

ZAQA verification of all qualifications is required.
